Respect for the environment is at the heart of The Quay Office Groups corporate ethos. As a holder of the ISO14001 Environmental management system we have assessed not only our own methods of working and the products we sell but that of our manufacturing business partners.

In doing so we are able to offer a selection of products from all areas of our business, be it stationery items, desks, chairs upholstery fabrics or wall coverings. These products may have either been manufactured from recycled materials or made from new materials that offer the opportunity to be recycled at the end of its working life. There is also the argument that it is better to purchase products that may have an initial higher cost price but may have the facility to replace parts such as detachable upholstery seat and back pads which can be covered with biodegradable fabric allowing you to reupholster the worn fabric and maybe change the colour of the fabric to give the feel of a new chair.

As part of our environmental management system we have teamed up with one of our manufacturing partners to offer our clients the opportunity to recycle their old furniture under our “Old for new” concept. At a time when delivering new furniture we will accept back your old furniture for the cost of £20 per item. This can be through our waste streams where the items are broken down into the individual parts for either recycling, re- conditioning for further use by local charities.
